Betty L. Thornburg
Betty Louise Thornburg, 82, of New London, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died Monday, Jan. 12, at Henry County Health Center.
Visitation will be held until 7 p.m. today, Jan. 13, at the Kimzey Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant. A funeral service for Betty Thornburg will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 14, at Forest Home Cemetery Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, where burial will take place, with Larry Black officiating.
Memorials have been established for the New London Care Center Activity Fund.
She was born Oct. 7, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Forrest and Clara Long Darnell. On June 15, 1943, she married Melvin Edward Thornburg in Paso Roboles, Calif.
