Bettye Kathleen Bruey

Bettye Kathleen Bruey, 80, of Fairfield, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at her daughter's home in rural Fairfield.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield with Steve Heston speaking. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Evergreen Cemetery, the Lupus Foundation or Ronald McDonald House.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Sandy and her husband Jerry Nelson of Fairfield; three sisters, Marilyn Todd of Harrison, Ark., Mollee McCain of East Moline, Ill. and Pat Heston of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Judy Bruey; a son-in-law, Paul Teeter; and a granddaughter
