Beulah Mae Askea
Beulah Mae Askea, 94, of Washington, died Friday, June 25, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services have been set for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 30, at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Dean Elmore officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home. A general memorial has been established.
Mrs. Askea was born on Dec. 1, 1909, near Coppock, in Marion Township, to John Cleveland and Ida Mae (Nicola) McKune. She married Herbert Benjamin Askea of Clarksville, Ga., on Feb. 5, 1932, in Rock Island, Ill.
