Bevaline Mae Lown was born June 28, 1930 in Blue Earth, Minnesota, the daughter of Cecil & Nellie (Parsons) Stewart. She lived in Minnesota for the first four years of her life until moving to North English where she graduated from North English High School in 1947. On February 12, 1949, Bev was united in marriage to Stanley Lown at the North English Christian Church Parsonage. She worked at Johnson’s Locker while in school and for a short time after she was married. She stayed home to help on the farm and take care of their children, she later worked for Evans Photography for 18 years, taking school pictures. She retired in 1994. Bev was a member of the North English Christian Church. She enjoyed painting pictures, doing crafts and was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes fan. Bev died on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 93 years.

She is survived by her son Ron & wife Kendra Lown of Walford; five grandchildren, Brian (Natasha) Lown, Jaime (Jerome) Young, Ryann (Alex) Lehnertz, Ashley (Mike) Cauliflower and Breanne (Adolfo) Benitez; granddaughter-in-law Courtney Lown; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; husband; three sons Randy, Roger and Rick Lown; and a grandson, Brad Lown.

Celebration Of Life Service was held 1:00 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at the Powell Funeral Home in North English. Visitation was on Tuesday, from 11:00 am until service time.
