Bill Allen

      RICHLAND - Bill Allen, 61, of Altoona, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, in Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines from complications from cancer.

      Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23 in the Community Room of Jefferson County Hospital Long Term Care with the Rev. Harlan Van Voorst officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be from 1:30 to 3 p.m. preceding the memorial service. Memorials may be made to the Richland United Methodist Church or the Richland Public Library. Gould Funeral home in Richland is in charge of the arrangements.

      Mr. Allen was born Feb. 23, 1947 in Washington, the son of Bob and Monna Allen of Richland. He married Pat Day of Fairfield. They later divorced.
