Billie Nell Crooks

      COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Billie Nell Crooks, 82, of Columbus Junction, died Saturday, Nov. 12, 2005, at her home.

      Graveside services will begin at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, at Columbus City Cemetery with the Rev. Cathy Whitlatch officiating. Visitation will be this evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction. Following committal services, a time for sharing will be held at Columbus City United Methodist Church. A general memorial has been established.

      Mrs. Crooks was born Jan. 17, 1923, in Herrin, Ill., to John William and Etta Mae (Whiteside) Bowman. She married Max Heither in August 1941, in Columbus Junction. He preceded her in death in 1954. She married Robert Crooks of Columbus Junction on Nov. 12, 1955.
