A Mass of Christian Burial for Blake J. Haman, 16, of Kalona, will be Friday, April 5, 2019, at 10:30 AM at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 4 from 2 – 7 PM at the Parish Life Center in Richmond. The Peterseim Funeral Home is assisting the family.
Blake was born February 17, 2003, in Iowa City, Iowa, the son of Bradley and Heather (Duwa) Haman. He was currently a sophomore at Mid-Prairie High School and worked was recently hired at Steve's Farm Supply and Orscheln's in Washington. He enjoyed hunting, camping, fishing, driving, playing cards, golf and shooting pool and playing video games with his friends.
Survivors include his mother Heather of Kalona, sister Auna of Kalona, maternal grandmother Tina and Randy Klein of Atalissa, paternal grandparents Steve and Diana Haman of Kalona, aunt Tammy (Cody) Marek of Washington, four uncles: Matt (Tiffany) Haman of Wellman, Mitch Duwa of Riverside, Dan (Rachel) Klein of Kalona and Chad Klein of Muscatine, and cousin Josh (Rochelle) Allen of West Chester.
Preceding Blake in death was his father Brad and maternal grandfather Kenny "Cap" Duwa.
