Blanche J. Murphy

Blanche J. Murphy, 91, of Washington, died Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Washington County Hospital, following a brief illness.

      Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 7, at United Presbyterian Church in Washington, with the Rev. Jim Edwards and the Rev. Chuck Brock officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, Jan. 6, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to United Presbyterian Church in Washington or Camp REECE.

      Mrs. Murphy was born on Sept. 10, 1913, to Charles W. and Josephine (Weber) Soukup in Highland Township. On Oct. 25, 1933, she married Samuel T. Murphy in Washington.
