Bob Hassenfritz

Bob Hassenfritz, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa, died Tuesday, February 15, 2005, at the Pleasant Manor Care Center.

      Visitation will be held Thursday, Feb. 17, from 12 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Gathering Space of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A Christian Vigil Service will also be held at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with the Rev. Nick Adam, celebrant. Burial will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the St. Alphonsus Building Fund. Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel of Mt. Pleasant is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, three sons, Stephen Hassenfritz of Hazelwood, Mo., David Hassenfritz of Oskaloosa, and Philip Hassenfritz and his wife Mary of Mt. Pleasant, one brother, Bill Hassenfritz and his wife Sally of Mt. Pleasant, and one sister, Carol and her husband Fred Meine of Mead, Colorado. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents.
