Bonnie Carol Craig Lewis

Bonnie Carol Craig Lewis, 72, of Cherokee Village, Ark., formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died December 11, 1999, at Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg, Miss.

A memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m., July 1, 2000, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mt. Pleasant. She had previously been cremated. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mrs. Lewis was born October 2, 1927, in Burlington, the daughter of Clement C. and Eva I. Craig of Mt. Pleasant. She married Irving J. Lewis in 1946.

She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1944 and from Denver Nursing School with training as a licensed practical nurse. She spent her life working with the elderly.

Survivors include four daughers, Meredith Dooley of Oregon, Kristen Larsen of Dallas, Texas, Juilane Azzinaro of Los Angeles, and Dana Fuerst of Perkinston, Miss.; one brother, Donald Craig, of Cherokee Village, Ark.; 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
