Bonnie L. Henry, 70, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, Aug. 18, 2019, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics following a sudden illness. Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, at Jones & Eden Funeral Home with the Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Calling hours will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery. Bonnie was born Feb. 16, 1949, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of Maurice and Faye (Varney) Henry. She graduated from Washington High School in 1967. Bonnie was a lifelong resident of Washington. She was the bookkeeper at Crane Valves for many years and later was a tax preparer at H&R Block until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening.

Bonnie is survived by her sister-in-law, Diana Henry of Washington; brother-in-law, Donald Goodwin of Columbus Junction; five nieces and nephews, Teresa Wojnoski and husband Ron of Fairfield, Conn., Marc Henry and wife Rhonda of Washington, Lisa Kempf and husband Troy of Olds, Craig Goodwin of Coralville and Marissa Tallington of Fredrick, Md.; 13 great-nieces and nephews; and four great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Marcus Henry; and sister, Beverly Goodwin.
