Bonnie J. Bailey

      Bonnie Jayne Bailey, 56, of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Sept. 12 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.

      Memorial service will be 2 p.m., Friday, September 22, 2007 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Fairfield. Inurnment will be at Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Howard Innes will officiate at the service.

      Bonnie was born Dec. 19, 1950 at Fairfield. She was the daughter of David and Wilma Lathrop Bailey. She worked at the Iowa Ordnance Plant and SEIDA, volunteered for the Neighborhood Center and was a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

      She lived most of her life in Fairfield but spent the last four years at the Good Samaritan Home in Ottumwa. She enjoyed puzzles, loved her hat collection and enjoyed people.

      Survivors include two sisters, Phyllis Morris and her husband Mike Bullard of Ottumwa and Marjorie Griffin of Morrilton, Ark.; two brothers, David Bailey and his wife Connie of East Pleasant Plain and Ronnie Bailey of Eldon; and several nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents one brother, LeRoy Bailey, and one sister, Sharon Bailey.
