Bonnie Lou Graham-Johnson, 90, of Fairfield, IA passed away peacefully to glory at the Jefferson County Health Care Center on Saturday, January 10, 2026. As were her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon, IA with Pastor Mark Clark officiating. Burial will be held at a later date in the Packwood Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at the church and will last until the time of service. Memorial contributions in Bonnie’s honor may be directed to the Living Hope Bible Church or to Hospice Compassus and mailed c/o Cranston Family Funeral Home, P.O. Box 189, Fairfield, IA 52556. Bonnie Lou Martin Graham-Johnson was born on June 2, 1935, in rural Douds, IA to Joseph and Candace Barnes Martin. Bonnie attended Fairfield High School and married Orville Forrest Graham Jr. in 1952. He died on Jan. 12, 1988. She later married Raymond “Gus” Johnson in 1990, and they remained together until his death in 1994.
Bonnie was a loving wife and mother who helped support the family by working at Universal, Woody’s Restaurant, helping on the farm, as well as working for many years at Rockwell until her retirement. She was a fun gal! She loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling with the Libertyville Travelers and has been to 48 states and “across the pond”. Bonnie loved dancing at Polishville, playing cards, and bingo. She always cherished her visits at Addington Place and going to her grandchildren’s many events. She was strong in her faith and was and active member at the Living Hope Bible Church in Eldon.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; a daughter, Linda Lou Doud; her brother, Bill “Dud” Martin; a sister, Grace Lucas, and a brother-in-law, Ray Lucas.
Left to honor her memory are her children, Roger (Marla) Graham of Hedrick, IA; stepchildren; Kathy Humble of Pella, IA and Kenny (Shelly) Johnson of Douds, IA; five grandchildren, Gary (Tamy) Doud of Ottumwa, Terry (Tonya) Doud of Batavia, Nathan (Jessica) Graham of New Virginia, Tim (Andrea) Graham of Memphis, MO, and Kelly (Bre) Graham of Donnellson; stepgrandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Devon Johnson, and T.J. Humble; great-grandchildren, Ryan Doud, Zach Doud, Daltin Doud, Haylee Graham, Owen Graham, Rilynn Graham, and Jensen Graham; stepgreat-grandchildren; Brittini (Steven) Wilson; stepgreat-great-grandchildren, Amelia and Averi Wilson; a sister-in-law, Mary Martin, as well as many extended family and friends.
