Brad D. Holtgrewe January 27, 1953 - April 8, 2004

Brad Douglas Holtgrewe, 51, of Altoona, formerly of Mt. Pleasant, died of heart failure on Thursday, April 8, 2004.

      The funeral service was held at Grace Church in Altoona today, with the Revs. Phil Whinfield and Dan Hayton officiating. Burial was in Altoona Cemetery. A memorial has been established to Grace Church. Altoona Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, the former Linda Garrels, formerly of Mt. Pleasant; two daughters, Ashley Holtgrewe, and Hilary and her husband Jason Prall; his parents, Barry and Lois Holtgrewe of Spirit Lake; his mother-in-law, Ova and her husband Robert Gipple of Mt. Pleasant; three brothers, David and his wife Karen Holtgrewe, Kim and his wife Jean Holtgrewe of Mt. Pleasant, and Jeff and his wife Betsy Holtgrewe; a sister-in-law, Janette and her husband David Busch; and brothers-in-law, Gary Garrels and Richard Hoblach.

      He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, DeWayne Garrels, paternal grandparents; and maternal grandparents.
