Brenda Jo Suszko

Brenda Jo Suszko, 54, of Marion, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009, at her home, following an extended illness.

    Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Marion with the Rev. Rick Gail officiating.  The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    Additional services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.  Memorials may be directed to the Community Health Free Clinic of Cedar Rapids.  During the services, the family will be providing hand sanitizer and surgical masks to help provide barriers against the flu.

    Mrs. Suszko was born May 25, 1955, in Washington, the daughter of Marion A. and Georgia J. (Chalupa) Swift.  She married Harry Suszko on Sept. 29, 1984, in Cedar Rapids.
