Burdette Staats
COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Burdette Staats, 76, of Columbus City, died Friday, Oct. 29, 2004, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home in Columbus Junction, with the Rev. John Hayes officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Private family burial will be in Wapello Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by Columbus Junction American Post 100 at a later date.
Mr. Staats was born on Nov. 18, 1927, in Fredonia, to George William and Gladys Verlee (McGill) Staats. On Dec. 11, 1948, he married Patricia May McKillip in Davenport.
