Burge J. Hammond
Burge J. Hammond, 75, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at his home, following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Faith Baptist Church in Washington, with the Rev. Elwin Colson officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Elm Grove Cemetery. Visitation begins at noon on Thursday at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington County or the American Cancer Society.
