Burge J. Hammond
Burge J. Hammond, 75, of Washington, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2002, at his home following a lengthy illness.
The funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 28, at the Faith Baptist Church in Washington with the Rev. Elwin Colson officiating. Burial will be in the Elm Grove Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, June 27 at the Beatty Funeral Home in Washington with family present from 6 to 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to Hospice of Washington County and the American Cancer Society.
