Byron Hunter Hafner

      LETTS - Byron Hunter Hafner, 95, of Letts, died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2006, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.

      Funeral services will be Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. The Rev. Kimberly Bowles of the Letts United Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Letts Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006 from 3 until 6 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Washington Co., Louisa County Responders, and the Letts United Methodist Church.

      Mr. Hafner was born April 21, 1911, in Muscatine County near Cranston, the son of H. Lester and Ola Etta (Warthman) Hafner. He married Mollie Eugenia Crow in Lone Tree in August of 1930.
