C. Maxine 'Pat' Campbell
C. Maxine "Pat" Campbell, 88, of St. Louis, Mo., formerly of Fairfield, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2005, at St. Louis.
A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at the Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Interment of the urn will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield.
The family will be present to greet friends from 1 p.m. until the service at 2 p.m. Saturday. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer's Association.
Mrs. Campbell was born Dec. 27, 1916, in Stockport, the daughter of Mandley C. and Hazel Gail Stanford Caviness. She married Shan Campbell Feb. 3, 1939, at her parents' home in Fairfield.
Mrs. Campbell was a lifetime resident of Fairfield until moving in June 2000 to St. Charles, Mo., and in 2002 to St. Louis County. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1934 and attended Iowa State College at Ames. She worked with her husband in their auction business and was a real estate broker for their Iowa Auction and Realty Company.
Mrs. Campbell was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Guild Circle, Fairfield Womens Club, Chapter MB P.E.O., 3-H club and Walton Club.
Survivors include three children, William Shannon Campbell and wife Barbara of Davenport, Richard Edwin Campbell of Phoenix, Ariz., and Pamela Gail Lohse and husband Jack of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; and one brother, Paul "Rocky" Caviness of Phoenix, Ariz.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Mandley "Jack" Caviness Jr. and Leland Caviness.
