Calvin Andrew Simpson

CEDAR RAPIDS ? Calvin Andrew ?Andy? Simpson, 73, of Ainsworth, died Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013, in the Washington County Hospital in Washington.

The body will be cremated, according to his wishes. No services are scheduled at this time. Iowa Cremation in Cedar Rapids is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Simpson was born June 10, 1940, in Washington, the son of William and Bonnie (Morgan) Simpson. He married Karen Rae McDole on Dec. 17, 1958.

He graduated from Ainsworth High School. He served his country in the Air Force and was a veteran of Vietnam. He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, of Ainsworth; three sons, Mark Simpson of Ainsworth, Brian Simpson and wife Kris of Indianola, and Shawn Simpson of Ainsworth; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and six brothers and sisters.
