Carl A. Barnett October 21, 1930 - October 11, 2005

      Carl Adren Barnett, 74, of Fort Madison, died at 10:10 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2005, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

      The graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 14 in Salem East Cemetery in Salem, with the Rev. Tom Palmer officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Link Funeral Home in West Point, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.

      Survivors include his wife of more than 25 years Mary Kay Krogmeier; a brother, Dale Barnett of New London; six children, Robert R. Barnett and James L. Barnett, both of Salem, Judy Barnett Eppenheimer of Yakima, Wash., Kelly Krogmeier Booten of Tallahassee, Fla., Denis Krogmeier of Keokuk and Kim Krogmeier Peterson of Mount Joliet, Tenn.; and 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in death by his parents and two infant brothers.
