Carl Byler
KALONA ? Carl Byler, 86, of Wellman, formerly of Marengo and Kalona, died Friday, June 19, 2009, in Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, from pneumonia and heart attack.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. today at Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with Chaplain Carroll Yoder officiating. Burial was at East Union Cemetery in Kalona. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Byler was born Feb. 3, 1923, in Lancaster, N.Y., the son of John A. and Amanda (Knepp) Byler.
