Carl Fredrick Carlson, 93, of Lockridge, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2020, at Parkview Care Center. Open visitation will be from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Behner Funeral Home. Family will not be present. A graveside service with military honors will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, at Upland Cemetery, south of Lockridge, with Pastor Al Coffin officiating.

Carl was born June 20, 1927, to Carl "Edward" and Dorothy (Arnold) Carlson in Lockridge. He graduated from Lockridge High School in 1944. Carl married Rita A. Marlatt on Jan. 20, 1968. She passed away March 10, 2003.

Carl served in the Navy during World War II. He farmed and served on the Lockridge and Upland Cemetery boards. Carl loved going for drives and spending time with his grandkids.

He will be missed by his son, John (Melanie) Carlson; and three grandchildren, Aaron, Eli and Anna Carlson.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Dorothy; his wife, Rita; and one brother, Harold Carlson.
