Carl L. Schenk May 25, 1914 - March 13, 2004

Carl L. Schenk, 89, of Winfield, died on Saturday, March 13, 2004, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

      The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 17 at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. Burial will follow at the Trinity Cemetery in rural Mt. Union. Visitation will be from noon until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16 at the funeral home, with family present from 6 to 7 p.m. Memorials have been established to Sunrise Terrace Care Center and Winfield First Responders.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Jane Robertson of Mediapolis; a son, Darrell Schenk of Burlington; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Myrtle Hazen of Mt. Pleasant.

      In addition to his two wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.
