Carl Michiel Greiner

      Carl Michiel Greiner, 91, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at the M.L. McCreedy Home in Washington.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Ed O'Melia and the Rev. Paul Appel officiating. Interment will take place at Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington.

      Visitation will begin at noon Friday at Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will be present from 6-8 p.m. A prayer service will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

      Memorials have been established for St. James Catholic Church or M.L. McCreedy Home.

      Mr. Greiner was born Aug. 17, 1917, in Clear Creek, the son of Charles Fredrick and Clara Katherine Hammes Greiner. He married Alice Mae Lukavsky Sept. 4, 1940, in Washington.
