Carl W. Jarvis
Carl W. Jarvis, 89, of Washington, died Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at Halcyon House, following a lengthy illness.
Memorial services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, at Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Dennis Fox officiating. Private family burial will take place at Sandy Hook Cemetery in rural Washington. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m., Friday. Memorials have been established for Hospice of Washington County.
Mr. Jarvis was born in Fort Madison on June 21, 1916, to John W. and Kathryn (Morton) Jarvis. He married Vera Amelia Stout on Oct. 8, 1939, in rural Brighton.
