COLUMBUS JUNCTION ? Carla Louise Masonholder Harris, 75, of Columbus Junction, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2015, in Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.
There will be no service, according to her wishes, but a private memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been facilitated by the FCS Life Transition and Cremation Center, located within Muscatine Memorial Park. Memorials have been established for the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church and Washington Hospice. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Harris was born Nov. 4, 1939, in a small house in rural Columbus Junction, the daughter of Ross Guy and Wilma Mearle (Dicks) Masonholder. She married Robert Wayne Harris on Nov. 22, 1958, at the United Methodist Church in Columbus Junction.
She was an active member of the Rebekahs, the United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women in Columbus Junction. She was also a member of the Columbus Schools music boosters. She loved to cook, bake and sew, and she collected many dolls. She was an avid reader and follower of ?Days of Our Lives.?
Surviving are her husband, Bob; two sons, Terry Harris and wife Kelly of Columbus Junction, and Tracy Harris and wife Martha of Columbus Junction; one daughter, Diane Schmeiser of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Ronnie Masonholder and wife Charlotte of Hopewell, Ill., Merle Masonholder and wife Kathy of Fayette, Mo., and Dr. Brian Masonholder and wife Jill of Columbus Junction.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandparents.
