Carla L. Campbell January 6, 1948 - April 12, 2004

Carla Louise Campbell, 56, of Mt. Pleasant, died following a brief battle with cancer on Monday, April 12, 2004, at New London Nursing and Rehab Center.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 16 at the First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Dr. Edward Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 15 at Olson-Powell Memorial Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials have been established to Great River Hospice, First United Methodist Church and New London Nursing and Rehab Center.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cindy and her husband Brian Smith of Mt. Pleasant, and Brenda and her husband Mike Sporkman of West Point; a son, Dan Campbell of Des Moines; six grandchildren; her mother of Mt. Pleasant; and two brothers, Frank and his wife Amy Black of Savannah, Ga., and Paul Black of Des Moines.

She was preceded in death by her father.
