Carol A. Blacksmith

Carol A. Blacksmith, 79, of Donnellson, died at 1:25 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at his home.

      The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the Hofbauer-Schmitz-Lynk Funeral Home in Donnellson with the Rev. Judy Holcomb officiating. Burial will be in Evangelical Cemetery in Donnellson. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home with family present from 7 to 8 p.m. A memorial has been established.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Donna and her husband Mark Day of Donnellson; two grandsons; one great-grandchild; three sisters, Dorothy Huckabee of Palmyra, Mo., Gladys and her husband Carl Hohl of Keosauqua and Marie Yoder of Donnellson; and a sister-in-law, Ruth Blacksmith of Donnellson.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.
