Carol A. Krakow, age 69, of Marengo, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Oxford Cemetery in Oxford. Memorials may be sent in care of Carol to Kloster Funeral Home at 298 W. Washington St. Marengo, Iowa 52301.

Carol is survived by her sons, Chris (Renae) Roggentien and Curtis Roggentien (Jackie Ahrens); eight grandchildren, Spencer (Ashley) Roggentien, Paige Sherman, Fayth Sherman, Sierra Roggentien-Meyer (Jason), Liam Roggentien, Ty Roggentien, Colton Roggentien, and Wyatt Roggentien; one great-grandchild, Mayla Roggentien; a brother Rodney (Beth) Shaull, sisters Sue Lathrop, Donna (Dan) McDonald, Debbie (Donnie) Cobb, Kathy Larson and Beverly Lathum (Duaine Risner).

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dale, a sister Connie Shaull, and a nephew Scotty Williams.

Carol Ann Shaull was born September 27, 1954, in Belle Plaine, Iowa, the daughter of Edwin Dale “Jake” Shaull and Betty Jo Scott Shaull. She graduated from Williamsburg high school in 1972. Carol married Dale Krakow. She was a cook and enjoyed working in the senior care industry. Carol liked playing cards, singing, watching old westerns and old tv shows, and the Iowa Hawkeye Football games. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family at family gatherings.
