Carol Brough Golson

Carol Brough Golson, 56, of New London, formerly of New Jersey, died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at New London Nursing and Reahab.

      There will be no formal service in Iowa. The body has been cremated and a private family service will take place at a later date in New Jersey. Elliott Chapel in New London is in charge of arrangements.

      Carol Golson was born Dec. 13, 1947, the daughter of Walter and Margaret Lindsey Brough. She was a graduate of Opelika High School in Opelika, Ala., and the University of Alabama. She was a social worker in home counseling with teens. She was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a member of the Embroiderer's Guild of America. She enjoyed all needlework, reading, drawing, painting and was very artistic.

      Survivors include two daughters, Kimberly and her husband David O'Neal of Lawrenceville, N.J., and Kelly Golson of Ankeny; a granddaughter; and a brother, William Brough of Federal Way, Wash.

      She was preceded in death by her parents.
