      WILTON - Carol Jean Myren-Carpenter, 68, of Coralville, died Jan. 25, 2006, at her home in Coralville,

      Memorial services will begin at 12 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 28, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church in Iowa City with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. A reception for friends and family will follow at University Athletic Club, located next to the church. Private family interment will take place in Maquoketa in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Bentley Funeral Home in Wilton is handling the arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to either Iowa City Hospice or Holden Comprehensive Cancer Center (please write "For Research" in memo).       Carol Schoenthaler Myren-Carpenter was born Feb. 24, 1937, to Everett and Dorothy (Phillips) Schoenthaler in Maquoketa. She married Benjamin Wayne Carpenter on Sept. 14, 1995, in Iowa City. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2004.
