Carol Marie Taylor

Carol Marie Taylor, 59, of Birmingham died at her home Monday, July 23, 2012.

A funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home in Birmingham with the Rev. Jason Mott officiating.

Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Birmingham.

Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A memorial has been established for a charity to be named later, and memorials may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at 16967 Highway 1, Birmingham 52535.

Mrs. Taylor was born Sept. 27, 1952, in Birmingham, the daughter of Dale Wesley and Marjorie A. Pohren Countryman. She married Herman L. Taylor, March 25, 1978, at the Lebanon Methodist Church.

She lived her entire life in Van Buren County.

She graduated from Van Buren High School in 1970.

She was school board secretary for the Van Buren School District for 31 years. She worked at Cambridge Investments in Fairfield for the past 11 years.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Winter Taylor and spouse Craig Dresback of Birmingham; one son, Jon Taylor and spouse April of Fairfield; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Beverly Gartner of Iowa City and Wanda Fillner of Onalaska, Wis.

She was preceded in death by her parents and four sisters, Juanita Usovsky, Marlene Countryman, Dorothy Cunningham and Shirley Jean Countryman as an infant.
