Carolyn L. Casteel

      Carolyn L. Casteel, 69, of Packwood, died Thursday, March 6, 2008, at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield.

      A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Prairie View United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Rusty Crabtree officiating. According to family wishes, the body has been cremated. Burial of cremains will be Tuesday at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Mo.

      A luncheon will follow Monday's service in the church's fellowship hall.

      Mrs. Casteel was born Oct. 21, 1938, in Middletown, N.Y., the daughter of Burt and Stella Bastic Wood. She married Michael B. Casteel July 8, 1962, in Middletown, N.Y. He died Jan. 7, 2006.
