Carroll was born December 6, 1910, to Claude and Maude Wagner Koons near Batavia, Iowa.
He married Vera Fern Funk August 13, 1950. They were married at Stover Memorial Church of the Brethren, Des Moines, Iowa.
Services March 6, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Hamilton's near Highland Memory Garden, Des Moines.
