Carroll Myron 'Bud' Hansen Sr.

      WAYLAND-Carroll Myron "Bud" Hansen Sr., 78, of Wayland, died Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2003, at home, following a lengthy illness.

      Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24, at Calvary Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant, with the Rev. Jeffrey Crawford officiating. Military honors will be accorded by VFW Post No. 2561, American Legion Post No. 58, and AMVETS No. 44, with Commander Dean King. Burial will be in Durham Cemetery in Durham, Calif., at a later date. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service a the church. Memorials may be directed to Crossroads Hospice of Southeast Iowa. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements.

      Mr. Hansen was born on April 21, 1925, in rural Sanger, Calif., to James Peter and Helen Eunice (Reid) Hansen. He married Lorraine Elinor McNabb on April 12, 1947, in Durham, Calif.
