Catherine R. Grelk

Catherine R. Grelk, 90, of St. Paul, died at 3:50 p.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Pleasant Manor Care Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25 at St. James Catholic Church in St. Paul, with Father Gary Beckman officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery in St. Paul. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. today at Link Funeral Home in West Point. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a Christian Vigil Service will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Family will meet friends from 2:30 to 4 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home today. Memorials have been established to St. James Catholic Church or Marquette Schools.

Survivors include six sons, Duane and his wife Mary Grelk of Donnellson, Gary and his wife Mary Grelk of Winfield, Kenneth and his wife Denise Grelk of Fort Madison, Norbert and his wife Christine Grelk of Mt. Pleasant, Robert and his wife Linda Grelk of Houghton, and Paul Grelk of Elkhorn, Neb.; three daughters, Eileen and her husband Junior Vorwaldt of Fort Madison, Mary E. and her husband Tom Umbarger of Keystone, and Barbara and her husband Kenneth Guenther of Mt. Pleasant; and 31 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

      In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Anthony; a great-grandson; four brothers, Joseph, Fred, Steve and Ralph; and a sister, Mary Ann Walljasper.
