Catherine Richard

      WAYLAND-Catherine Richard, 88, of Wayland, died Thursday, June 21, 2007, in the Parkview Home in Wayland, following a lengthy illness.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church, with the Rev. Robert Hartzler officiating. Burial will be in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church with family receiving friends from 4 to 6 p.m. A memorial fund has been established. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland is assisting with arrangements.

      Mrs. Richard was born on Nov. 12, 1918 in Washington County, the daughter of Eli J. "E.J." and Annie (Bissey) Yoder. She married Oscar Richard in February 1948 at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church.
