Cecil Edward Christner
WELLMAN - Cecil Edward Christner, 77, of Keota, died Monday, June 14, 2004, at Maplewood Manor in Keota, following a brief illness.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 18, at Kalona United Methodist Church in Kalona, with the Rev. Lynn Patrick officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Joetown. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Powell Funeral Home in Wellman, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A general memorial fund has been established.
Mr. Christner was born March 26, 1927, to Elam and Nettie (Swartzendruber) Christner near Sharon Center.
