Cecilia was born February 23, 1957, in Fairfield, to Clyde Joseph and Trilla Ann (Weber) Kessel. She married Michael Adam November 29, 1989, in Richland, later divorcing.
Cecilia graduated from Hedrick High School in 1975. She went to Indian Hills Community College and received her LPN in 1977. She worked 30 plus years at ENT of Southeast Iowa as a nurse.
Cecilia had a green thumb and enjoyed being outside working in her flower garden, mowing the yard, mushroom hunting, looking for arrow heads, listening to and watching birds. She collected Christopher Radko (specifically breast cancer ones) Christmas ornaments and Precious Moments. Cecilia looked forward every year to attending and camping at the Iowa State Fair in August with her family, where she enjoyed trying different foods and the entertainment. Traveling with family & friends was one of her favorite past times. She looked forward to many road trips and cruises each year. Some of her favorite destinations were snowmobiling in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, cruises to Antigua, St. Kitts, Cayman Islands and Alaska. She was a member of PEO – Chapter OO and attended The Bridge Church. Most important was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Cecilia will be missed by her mom, Trilla Christner; children, Aaron (Shelby) Adam of Richland and Angela (Brock) Haines of Fairfield; three grandchildren, Aubree Haines, baby Haines due in October and Clyde Adam; many nieces and nephews.
Cecilia was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Kessel; brothers, Richard “Ric” Kessel and Cris Kessel; maternal grandparents, Walter and Lucille Weber and paternal grandparents, Leonard and Elsie Kessel; and cousin, Kay Weber.
