Charles Curtis

WINFIELD ? Charles Claire Curtis, 82, of Winfield, died Monday, June 19, 2017, in Sunrise Terrace Care Center in Winfield.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Friday, June 23, at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield with the Rev. Randy Moser officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the funeral, and burial will be at the Crawfordsville Cemetery at a later date. A memorial has been established for the CF Foundation.

Mr. Curtis was born March 5, 1935, in Crawfordsville. He married Dorothy Walton on Oct. 1, 1954.

He worked as a mechanic for many years and later as a truck driver. He was a member of the United Church of Crawfordsville.

Surviving are one son, Rodney Curtis of Blakesburg; one daughter, Terry Todd of Lomax, Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Lambert of Crawfordsville, and Rosemary Peterson of Alberta, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, on June 18, 2010; one son, Doug; one brother, Larry; and one sister, Janet.
