Charles Earnest Beaman
Charles Earnest Beaman, 80, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 7:07 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at the Park Place Long Term Care Unit in Mt. Pleasant.
The funeral service will be in Stratford, Texas, at a later date. Visitation will be after 8 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Lunning Chapel of Burlington with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in Stratford Cemetery in Stratford, Texas. A memorial has been established for the Harmony Bible Church building fund.
Mr. Beaman was born May 7, 1920, in Windsor, Mo., the son of Forest Walter and Lelia Paul Beaman. He married Louise Lee in Kahoka, Mo., on Nov. 1, 1942, who preceded him in death. He then married Teresa Snook Williams Oct. 28, 1962, at Clayton, Minn., who preceded him in death on June 21, 1985. He was a mechanic for small engines, cars, trucks and large diesel irrigation motors for 28 years, retiring in 1985. He attended Harmony Bible Church. A World War II veteran, he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the rank of private.
Survivors include a son, Ray Lee and Vicki Beaman of West Burlington; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to both wives, he was preceded in death by his parents, a younger brother, and his youngest and oldest sons.
