Charles Edward 'Chuck' Newhouse

      Charles Edward "Chuck" Newhouse, 67, of Washington, died Sunday, May 27, 2007, at his home, after failing in health for the past year.

      Celebration of life services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Washington, with the Rev. Brian Gentz officiating. Visitation began at noon today at the Jones-Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be at the Lafayette Cemetery in Harper. A memorial fund has been established for Hospice of Washington County.

      Mr. Newhouse was born on March 12, 1940, in Harper, to Edward and Florence (Kephart) Newhouse. He married Janice Ann Clifton on March 21, 1964, in Iowa City.
