Charles J. Adolphson

      Charles J. Adolphson, 77, of Mt. Pleasant, died at 8:22 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, 2000 at the Mapleleaf Healthcare Center in Mt. Pleasant.

      The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 27, at the Beatty Funeral Home in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. T.N. Taylor officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, Nov. 26, from noon to 7 p.m. and also one hour prior to the funeral service with the family present. Burial will be in the Aspen Grove Cemetery in Burlington.

      Mr. Adolphson was born July 26, 1923, in Winfield, the son of Harry and Vada Charlotte Nelson Adolphson. He was a member of First Assembly of God in Mt. Pleasant. An avid Chicago Cubs fan, he liked to listen to the games on the radio.

      Survivors include a sister, Darline Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, five nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Nadine.
