Charles J. Franzen
Charles J. Franzen, 76, of Washington, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, at St. James Catholic Church in Washington, with the Rev. Dennis Martin officiating. Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at Jones-Eden Funeral Home, with the family present from 6 to 9 p.m. A prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, followed by the saying of a rosary. A memorial fund has been established for Concern for Women or Birthright.
