Charles J. Reed

      RICHLAND - Charles J. Reed, 88, of Richland died Sunday, April 22, 2007 in his home.

      Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 26 in Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Richland with the Rev. Charles J. Fladung officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with Prayers for a Christian Wake beginning at 7 p.m. in the church. Memorials may be made to the Richland Fire Department or Richland First Responders.

      Mr. Reed was born Sept. 29, 1918 in Clear Creek Township, rural Ollie, the son of Sam and Mary (Sieren) Reed. He married Louise Peck on Oct. 10, 1942 in Clear Creek Catholic Church. He grew up in the Clear Creek area and attended school there. He and his wife moved to Richland in 1948 where he farmed and raised cattle until her retired at age 85. He was a member of the Mother Cabrini Catholic Church in Richland.
