Charles L. Duvall

      Charles L. Duvall, 88, of Bettendorf, formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2008, at Clarissa Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

      A funeral was held at 1 p.m. today at First Christian Church in Davenport. Burial was in Clinton Lawn Cemetery in Clinton.

      Memorials may be made to Bettendorf Lions Club, First Christian Church or Telephone Pioneers of America.

      Mr. Duvall was born Sept. 10, 1920, in Keosauqua, the son of Iska and Edith M. Carney Duvall. He married Ella Mae Ludwig Jan. 2, 1945, in Phoenix City, Ala. She died Jan. 26, 2005.
