BLOOMFIELD ? Charles ?Chuck? Moore, 72, of Washington, and former resident of Pulaski, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, in the Ottumwa Hospice House.
Visitation will begin at 9 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 9, at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield, with the family present to greet friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Pulaski Cemetery in Pulaski. A memorial has been established to the Davis County Education Foundation to be used for a sports complex. Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield is assisting the family.
Mr. Moore was born March 7, 1944, in Pulaski, the son of James Lewis and Lorrayne Alma (Rowland) Moore. He married Connie Robison in 1965 in Milton.
He served in the Army during Vietnam. After retiring from active duty, he continued to serve in the Reserve until 1971. He and his wife raised two daughters and one son. He was a farmer and also worked maintenance at IBP in Columbus Junction. He enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports, fishing, hunting, being outdoors, playing golf and attending family gatherings. He was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Christi Asher and husband Jim of Milton, and Kelli Anderson and husband Jeff of Fairfield; one son, Ronald Moore and wife Jennifer of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Moore and wife Joyce of Fulton, Illinois, Jack Moore and wife Nell of Bloomfield, and Pat Moore and wife Kelly of Pulaski; and one sister, Jane Blakely and husband Charlie of Richland.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, on Oct. 30, 1998; and two brothers, Terry Moore, and Owen Moore.
