Charles R. Ramsey February 21, 1928 - September 21, 2005

      Charles R. Ramsey, 77, of Fort Madison, died at 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2005, at Fort Madison Community Hospital.

      The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at King-Lynk Funeral Home in Fort Madison, with the Rev. Gordon Lundberg officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Soldiers Circle in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. A memorial has been established.

      Survivors include his wife; a son, Skip Ramsey of Fort Madison; four daughters, Stevie Harkey of Shawano, Wis., Peggy Mitchell of Keokuk, Kim Rehm of Fort Madison, and Tracey Davis of West Point; 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Dick Ramsey of Texas; and two sisters, Wanda Herdrich of Donnellson, and Leah Malard of North Dakota.

      He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, two sisters and two grandchildren.
